DISCOVER ALBANIA

This small and sunny portion of the Adriatic Coast was put in genuflection by poverty, bloody revenges and illiteracy. This country is a dizzy mix of religions, styles, cultures and landscapes, from the Sunni Muslims to the Albanians Orthodox, from the idyllic beaches to the peaks of rocky mountains and fields of intense cultivation. The remains of one of the longest dictatorships of Oriental Europe coexist with citrus and olive trees as well as with vineyards. Next to great mosques there are factories built by the Chinese and orthodox churches arise in front of palaces from the cold Soviet style. Mistreated for long periods of time, Albania is now looking to achieve democracy, the outside world and the foreign tourists.

Reviews

My boyfriend Peter and I went on the tour and had a great day! The guide Erilda and the driver felt so dedicated to making the day memorable, comfortable and exiting for us. The service was on a new level; so genuine and it more or less felt like we were friends hanging out 🙂 The hike was not too hard, and well worth it when you could jump in the ~8 degrees Celsius water at the waterfall! Perfect ending with wine tasting at the beautiful winery. Thanks so much, 1001 Albanian Adventures and Erilda, for a great day!
