HIKING IN BERAT

Castle of Gorica, Drobonik, Berat

We will start walking directly from the center of Berat; experiencing a scenic walk through the inhabited historical and most famous quarters (Mangalemi/ Gorica) before entering the hilly countryside in direction of one of the surrounding villages uphill. Around halfway of our hike we will have a short break for a tasty homemade brunch in one of the local families’ house. In that way, we will be able to get to know better the reality these families live in every day. If we are lucky enough to hike in the season of cherries, we will be able to taste some tasty bio cherries as well. After the break we will continue the hike to reach the top of the hill, from where we can enjoy the panoramic view of the city and Osumi valley from above. It is time to get back to Berat, and we will go downward the other side of the hill, and reach the city somewhere around early afternoon.

Dear Sirs, I would like to thank "1001 Albanian Adventures" for organising me a tour from Tirana to Prizren. In the time the pandemy affected all travellers around the world, the information in Internet is diverse and contradictionary. Some websites say, that the borders are open, calls to other give the answer, that you need covid-test, what takes time and money. In such region, like Montenegro-Albania-Kosovo, you even get different timetables for bus departures - or even totally no information about it. "1001 Albanian Adventures" and especially Erilda herself made my trip from Albania to Kosovo possible. He was always available for my questions per Facebook, even apart her working hours, in the evening. She organised for me a "half-tour" to Prisren from Tirana, following my budget, so that I could go further to Pristina Airport. I felt safe and cared about and want to say thank you! Ana S, Germany

We had a fantastic day out to Berat and three different wineries with 1001 Albanian Adventures. Erilda went out of her way to tailor make a trip for us as I had told her that we wanted to visit Berat but also try some wine on the same day. Geraldo, our driver and guide, was very friendly and extremely informative. I 100% recommend using 1001 Albanian Adventures. They made our trip to Albania very memorable.

This is a late review but my husband and I visited the Canyon in September and had a really great day with a female guide who was very interesting telling us about life in Albania from a female perspective. I had already done this day trip with my daughter last year and it was so good I wanted to see it again . The guides and drivers were excellent and it was great to see the Albanian landscape from a different perspective. I would definitely recommend this day trip to people of all ages
